Proposer Information
Important Deadlines:
  • Decision notification: Oct 25, 2021 23:59 (GMT -0700)
  • Final submission deadline: Jan 7, 2022 23:59 (GMT -0700)
Presentation Specifications:
    1. The total number of slides should be between 90 and 140 to provide a good presentation pace for a three-and-a-half hour time slot (including breaks).
    2. File size limitation: the upload site has a file size limitation of 20MB. If the file size will be larger, please contact: apec@epapers.org.
    3. An APEC presentation template is provided for the author’s convenience. However, it is not necessary to use this template. The key requirement is to have a clearly presented content.
    4. The slide aspect ratio must be 16:9
    5. The presentations should not have 'Confidential' or 'Proprietary' tags.
    6. Presentations can include company and affiliation logos, but may not directly mention products or services offered for sale. Some product information is acceptable as long as they are within the context of the seminar topic.
    7. Showing slide numbers is recommended to so that the presenter and the audience can reference them easily during the presentation.
    8. The print copies will be available per seminar only (there will not be three collated books with the other seminars as done in previous APECs). The presenter is not responsible to print copies for the audience.
    9. In the printed book, there will be two slides per page. The text and graphics on the slides should be large enough to be legible in this format.
    10. The print copies will be in color. Therefore, any use of color and shading to make the presentation easier to understand is now recommended and encouraged.
    11. Electronic copies of the presentation will be distributed on USB sticks as protected Adobe PDF files (text and graphics will be protected against copying). As stated in the Call for Papers, the submission of the seminar proposal and the presentation serves as the implicit agreement and consent to electronic distribution of your material.
    12. Copyright release is not needed.
