Paper Title: Aromaticity Dependent Memristor Switching
Student Contest: Yes
Affiliation Type: Academia
Keywords: memristor, TPCPD, antiaromaticity, aromaticity
Abstract: In this study memristive properties of tetraphenylcyclopentadienone are examined. A set of electric measurements was performed, including various types of cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry as well as pulse experiments, which revealed the memristive behavior of the compound. Further studies were focused on noise analysis of time and voltage dependent current response of the device. The reported results suggest that memristive switching is based on the antiaromatic-aromatic transition upon applied voltage, which is a novel resistive switching mechanism.
