Paper Title: Advanced UVM, Multi-Interface, Reactive Stimulus Techniques
Affiliation Type: Industry
Keywords: UVM, Reactive Stimulus, Interface, Virtual Sequence
Abstract: At DVCon 2020, the authors presented fundamental reactive stimulus techniques using a FIFO DUT (Design Under Test). This paper details advanced techniques to create reactive stimulus. First, a separate UVM Monitor is enhanced to gather the FIFO Status and send it to the reactive sequence. The paper describes the advantageous and disadvantageous of architecting this passive path. Additionally, different techniques for communicating the status information back to the reactive sequence are described. This includes comparing a status configuration UVM Object approach versus creating a TLM FIFO Analysis Port inside the reactive sequence.
