Abstract:
We show the evolution of the physics package (PP) and MEMS cell technology of the CPT-based Miniature Atomic Clock (MAC) developed at CSEM, from the ESA C-MAC activity to the Quantum flagship project macQsimal. The results of this work enable to implement our patented ceramic flat-form factor PP into a commercial packaging for future ultra-low power portable devices. We present a preliminary performance assessment of the MAC frequency stability, and we show one order of magnitude improvement over all time periods with respect to previous prototypes.
