Abstract:
Rubidium two-photon optical clocks allow accessing optical transitions while maintaining appealing system complexity and robustness. Here we report on a simple architecture system targeting miniature dimensions and achieving fractional frequency instability below 1E-13 for averaging times above 100 seconds. While encouraging further research efforts on Rb two-photon optical clocks, our results underline the importance of enhanced focus on long-term frequency stability.
