Abstract: In this work, the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 thick films were prepared by aerosol deposition. The powder was synthesized using mechanochemical activation, followed by additional milling and thermal treatment in order to obtain an optimized powder morphology and particle size distribution, which are crucial for a successful aerosol deposition. After the deposition, the films were post-annealed in order to improve the functional properties. In this contribution the processing as well as functional properties of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 thick films on stainless steel and polymer substrates will be discussed.
