Plastic crystals are an emerging class of ferroelectrics with potential as low environmental footprint materials. Despite many compositions being discovered recently, few studies have provided detailed studies of the switching behavior and other functional properties. Here we provide detailed analysis of the super-coercive switching behavior together with structural and dielectric data to provide new lite on the synthesis-composition-structure-property relationship in plastic crystal ferroelectrics.
