Abstract:
This paper proposes the robotic US imaging system allows for the estimation of fetal position and orientation based on the fetal bone distribution which is a key anatomical feature to detect the heart and to avoid the artifact.The proposed system estimates the fetal position and rotation angle of sagittal axis around abdomen as the fetal orientation based on the intrauterine bone distribution calculated with the 3D image acquisition with our robotic US scan platform.
